Today’s grey sky and biting wind remind us that we are in the dark depths of our bleak, and beautiful, season. Yet, the Winter Solstice has passed and we have now tipped towards the light. But though the celestial mechanics have shifted, we won’t see the changes manifest for a good while. Like so many things in life, there is a gradual and slow transition before the bloom.
Our yoga practice is very much the same. The deepest changes in our well-being can be subtle at first. But surely enough, with a day-by-day inevitability, a shift occurs, and the benefits emerge and become more apparent: calmer, stronger, healthier, happier.
